The cage also has a built-in wedge-shaped \/ tilting mechanism that acts as a roller clutch brake.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location of needle rollers during operation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Free state. In this case, the needle rollers are on the left side. They are on springs that control the distance at which the rollers can move in this direction. In this position, there is no load on the rollers and the bearing rotates freely.<\/li>\n<li>Locked state. The rollers are on the right. Once between the shaft and the cage, they can no longer rotate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Performance of work<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Efficiency losses are reduced to a minimum as the rollers rotate in contact with the springs and the load on the unit is low.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grease<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The protective clutch, like any other bearing, must be lubricated to keep it running for a long time. This type of bearing requires a little oil and especially liquid.<\/p>\n<p>The oil must be thick enough to lubricate but at the same time liquid so that the bearing can perform the locking function. There are special oils for bearings, but you can replace them with regular liquid oil for cars or even oil for sewing machines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inoperative clutch program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An example of clutch operation is a 2-speed gearbox, where the rollers lock due to rotational force and 1st gear starts to move.
