Slewing devices

Slewing-rotary devices (OPU) are structural elements of mechanisms by which the load will be transferred from the rotary to the non-rotary part of a machine. The rotary devices of the light and flanged series, the ball bearings with one and two rows of balls (standard series), the ball bearings of the precision series used for rotary tables (circles), as well as devices with cross rollers that provide high accuracy of rotation, are distinguished.

Description

Bearing slewing rings (ball bearings) are ball or roller bearings, on the outer and inner rings of which there are ready-made mounting holes. In addition, a ring gear may be cut on the outer or inner rings of the OPU, i.e. slewing-rotary devices combine three functions:

1. Support – fastening one part of the machine to another due to the mounting holes on the outer and inner rings.

2. Swivel – rotation of one part of the machine relative to the other due to the tracks and rolling elements (bearing).

3. Drive – transfer of torque from one part of the machine to another through a gear ring cut on the outer or inner ring of the control gear.
